Humans have been fascinated by the possibility of creating machines capable of simulating the human brain. The term “artificial intelligence” was coined in 1955 by John McCarthy, who, along with other scientists, organised the 'Dartmouth Summer Research Project on Artificial Intelligence' in 1956.
